The Lok Satta Party today described Mr. Kapu Rajaiah as an artist who immortalized Telangana folk life with his paintings. His works mirrored the life of artisans and farmers and rural traditions and customs. He led a simple and humble life despite to rising to dizzy heights and receiving many awards and honors.
In a media statement, Lok Satta Party General Secretary Katari Srinivasa Rao recalled that Mr. Rajaiah took part in Lok Satta programs for bringing about electoral reforms.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao wanted the State Government to preserve the art pieces of Mr. Rajaiah and establish a memorial in his honor.
At Siddipet in Medak district, Lok Satta leaders including State Working Committee member Thumanapalli Srinivas offered floral tributes and took part in the last journey of the artist today.
