Youth to demonstrate for job opportunities

The Surajya movement is organizing a demonstration by youth near Maitrivanam in Ameerpet, Hyderabad, from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, February 8 to highlight the injustice rendered to them by the Government’s failure to provide quality education and livelihood opportunities. Matrivanam area has been chosen as the venue for the protest demonstration as it is the favourite haunt for unemployed youth from all over the State.

Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, Convener, State Surajya Steering Committee, will flag the event. College students, unemployed youth and Surajya volunteers will take part in the demonstration.

Giving this information in a statement, Dr. Velanati Manohari, Surajya movement representative , said that a recent field study by the movement revealed that most youth throughout the State have remained unemployed as they lacked quality education and job skills and the limited job opportunities are concentrated at a few places.
