  1. Dear Dr.JP it is best to close down your shop. You are solely responsible for the defeat of Loksatta and please dont accuse the society. You very well knew that you did not have what it takes to cut your own path and lead a change movement. All you did was give good speeches. In the end you just became a survivor and waited for death of your own party.

Atleast you could have re-invented yourself and merged the party in AAP.I am sure with that option you could have won atleast a couple of MP seats and a many more Assembly seats.Have u heard the story of 'Four oxen and the Lion' story.Same goes to CPI Narayana and CPM Raghavulu. The three of you I call: 'the three egotistical Idiots'.Tremendous opportunity and money was there and you missed it because you were healf hearted and egotisitical.A wave did occur in Punjab and I am sure a wave wud have taken place in Andhra if you merged your party in AAP.You idiot.

    1. Mr.Anonymous - JP did propose for an alliance with AAP. AAP could have taken that but they didn't.Why dont u think its a mistake done by AAP?

    2. Mr.Anonymous, Thanks for your concern and feedback. Why AAP lost in Delhi and Kejiriwal in Varanasi? Does Kejiriwal resign as he could not win himself? If you are a well wisher you would have provided this advice much before elections. Did you encourage AAP to have coalitions with party like Loksatta?

    3. Mr.Sandeep & Anon,
I am not talking about alliances but merging Loksatta into AAP and all contesting on AAP symbol. It was well forseen 2 years ago that the party will not get even one seat this time.

Anon, Despite zero seats in Delhi AAP had incresed their vote share in Delhi from 30 to 33% even after many electoral frauds and money.Whereas Loksatta has less than 0.1% even in urban areas.

Votes are going to come only if people see that you have a chance of winning. That will only come with merging smaller parties into one bigger party and by actually doing something like street fights or PILs etc just like Loksatta did something small against Jabbar Travels and not just by good speeches and making laws.

The problem cud be Dr.JP is not comfortable with the attacking style of AK on powerful people. But this produced results and created momentum.Dr.JP's style ended not only in zero but with abysmal vote share. The clear message to Dr.JP is we had enough of your good speeches please close down your shop.

Dr.JP is like a Vidura or Chankya where as AK style is Abhimanyu or Chandragupta.Dr.JP too never really participated in the Janlokpal movement. He was always like a cat on the wall. There was tremendous opportunity to build the party and plenty of money.I am not criticizing Dr.JP for getting shocking levels of vote share but that he misled teenagers with good speeches despite fully knowing his limitations and he did not have the decency and decorum to admit this.Instead he tried to cover up his limitations by repeatedly criticizing AAP as Crazy and that they were better at marketing.HE KILLED THE SPIRIT and so spoiled the chances for others in the future to fight again and wasted people's money and time fully knowing party's death well in advance. He was hoping against hope for some MP's salary.Dr.JP you have enough talent to earn more than that.Atleast have the courage to apologize and get out of politics and find other careers.

It seems he started off with great passion and apparent courage and when the battle came he froze with his sword down, out of wisdom. It is OK with me as we cannot even do that but we have the decency to admit it and JP did not admit it.He ended up misleading all teenagers and killing the Spirit. The last climb down is praising the govt and trying for some policy committe jobs in Delhi.

    4. Anonymous, Please stop advising what JP has to do. Many people here know what JP is, but don't know who you are, what you have achieved, how much maturity you have. You are giving life time advices to JP and Loksatta, where people do not know what you have achieved in your entire life time. You might be good at heart, but to give advices like this requires some stature. If you do not like LS or its way of functioning its up to you to part with them and do whatever you want. JP/LS has enough wisdom to choose the path and there are enough people(who proved themselves) to advice JP/LS on what to do. Please give respect to others wisdom. Failure in elections does not mean end of world. It is easy to give advice to close the shop but quite difficult to achieve success. This quite true even with AAP, you have seen it already. There are also people who compare the amount of resources and support AAP had, and its successes and feel cheated. Hope you don't agree to that.

    5. why should LSP merge with AAP with out knowing what AAP is up to? Merging should happen automatically but not with force. It is just like asking a person to have sex without knowing that person well. That is called Lust not Love. First AAP should cooperate with LSP and then get know each other, then if significant views are matched, then we can think of merging. But AAP is so arrogant esp. AK, does not even have courtesy to give minimum respect to JP. If AAP is so god damn good why it has failed in AP and did get votes less than LSP? why it hasn't got seats or votes in Bangalore or Mumbai? even though Yogendra is great man but finished 4th in Gurgaon? JP has done his best to cooperate with AK, but sadly AK's arrogance, immaturity, hastiness and hunger for power could not listen to sane voices. Punjab and Delhi cases are different, had JP born as North Indian or at least if he could speak Hindi well he would have succeeded much more than this. In Delhi AAP offered so many sops like 50% waiver to electricity, free houses and doing away with permanent jobs and giving sops to auto-wallahs all these are nothing but corruption. giving 6 Crore waiver to AAP voters is outright criminal act. unable to fufill all these non implementable sops made him to run away. If you are ignorant to not to understand these facts, I am sorry. we should have healthy competitions between LSP and AAP if not cooperation. united we win divided we fall, that doesn't mean some one to loose identity. It is a long battle..LSP fight over 20 years has given many results. let us wait for some more years and change strategies and tactics to win over masses like independence struggle. moderate phase was elite, extremist phase was semi mass and Gandhian phase was true mass movement. every phase and every person played important role. Vivekananda and Rammohan to Nehru - every on played their role.

    1. Going by the same logic Loksatta too had it's own Delhi chapter. What happened to Loksatta there?I think this kind of sick escapism must stop.

Where ever there is a genuine fight against corruption people are responding tremendously with money and support.JP never did this. There was not even single PIL against any corruption issue, not a single agitation; just good speeches.JP cannot do this fight on his own.Like Yogendra Yadav he needs another AK in AP so that JP can stand as a guide.

But what's bad about JP is he is using AAP to hide his limitations and ascribing the success of RTI and other laws as his own. This is a Lie.RTI came into being becuase of Anna Hazare's 12 day fast in Bombay and moreover he never joined Anna Hazare's Janlokpal movement which was the time to build up huge support base in AP.He was always a cat on the wall.It was highly cheeky of him to go and beg for an alliance in Delhi. Then he tried alliances locally including TDP&BJP.What a Survivor.Instead of all this gimmicks it wud have been better if he wud have quit politics and chose another career. He wasted people's time and money fully knowing his limitations and the coming death of the party.

Nobody will ever donate another Rupee to Loksatta.Loksatta is dead forever.

    2. Thanks, if you are decided that Loksatta is dead, why you are bothering so much. You seem to be enormously knowledged to give credits and discredits about RTI, anti-corruption movement, great.. He is probably not as clever as you to find another job, please let him choose his own path. You ask about LS delhi chapter when shown an example of mumbai and bangalore. You seem to be so prejudiced. JP never used AAP to hide the failures. Please go through what he said fully if you can understand some language.

    3. Chakri,
Do you know who filed case against 2G scam in Supreme Court and cancelled the licenses? See the supreme court judgement from http://www.loksatta.org/cms/documents/JudgementOn2G.pdf and read the last line in first page. That will give you a better understanding. You can also read the petition on 2G scam at supreme court. See the second petitioner in the first page.

Dr.JP has written the complete bill for RTI. That's why, he is saying, he has contributed to RTI.

Dr.JP does not accept all the clauses of Janlokpal bill. That's why, he never joined in Anna Hazare's movement. He proposed his own amendments to Lokpal bill.

    4. This is what I mean by misleading teenagers by taking credit of others work.He does this because he has nothing to show.

Just because he signed the petition he put it up on his website to mislead people and take credit for other people's hard work.
      This is shameless CHEATING.

The reason he does this kind of lying is he has nothing to show to the public about his achievements ofcourse other than his Good speeches.

  6. Dr.JP has written the complete bill for RTI. That's why, he is saying, he has contributed to RTI. - Krishna,If only one person writes a bill in a democracy, then its too dangerous for the country, if it was written with the help of other law makers, then the credit should be given to every one in making that bill, by telling the names of each and every person involved in making that bill happen. If you haven't seen Satyameva Jayate Season 2 episode about RTI, Lot of people worked hard for bringing in RTI - like Aruna Roy, 2 people who were interviewed in that episode, sorry i forgot their names and many others too. This tells that only few people are taking credit of RTI, by not mentioning the names of all the people involved for that movement. IF none of you here didn't watch that episode please watch it now to know the truth please.

    1. Technically, only the people who finally signed the bill or voted for the bill should get 99.99% of the credit. Because they have taken the decision to bring the bill. If they take decision of not to bring the bill, then the work of all others will not make any impact.

    2. Krishna,
Writing laws is easier and there are many to do it in a matter of few months. But who will get these enacted into law.It is the Agitator like Anna Hazare. So majority of the credit on RTI goes to Anna Hazare and this is a law copied from other nations.

JP shamelessly misleads people by never mentioning others. He does this because he has nothing to show as achievements.

Nobody is saying the kind of work JP attempted is easy by any stretch of imagination. It is a work so difficult that only absolutely Fearless/Desireless and wise people can do like Gandhiji,Vivekananda etc.Nobody questions JP's intentions. But in the end if he got to such a level as lying or taking credit for other people's work then it is time to gather courage and move on in life rather than hangon and make a fool of himself.

He is not even smart. If he foresaw that the party was going to die he could have merged his party in AAP or similar party and made a face saving exit.He was surely hoping that somehow by stroke of luck he wud win and get some MP's salary and carry on this game.

So for his personal benefit he destroyed the party and thousands of teenagers who worked for the party not to mention the 2 crores he collected.Idiot.

    3. Chakri, problem seems to be with you in understanding the things and your wild imaginations. You are calling names and acting as if you are the wisest person in the world. Dont write foolish arguments and your imaginations here. Who are you and what is your worth to call someone idiot. I would say JP is quite smart not merging with AAP. See the state of AAP and their feats now. Stop being childish and grow up.
      >> somehow by stroke of luck he wud win and get some MP's salary and carry on this game.
Your imagination that JP is running for MP's salary shows the level of maturity you have. Please excuse us and stop spreading foolishness.

      >> not to mention the 2 crores he collected

1.5 Lakh people who supported JP. Do you think it is a small number?. So if a person looses the election he is an idiot?. What about AK then in varnasi. How many volunteers across the country worked for him in varanasi?, how much funds were donated to AAP, how much money was spent in varanasi. Your definition of smartness seems to be forseeing a failure not fighting . Do you extend same logic to AK?.

Everyone is fighting for a cause, AK or JP. Learn to respect others even if you disagree with their approach.

  8. In the world where even a God- person like Shirdi Sai Baba says, ‘If you look to me, I look to You’, Loksatta JP has been looking to people for decades evenif they did not ask him and took responsibility to change their lives. Indeed, this is leadership. Basically Dr.JP is a transformational leader. But his task is so huge and complex that he finds less time to exhibit transactional leadership in the process. He could not get Amit Shahs to fill that gap because he did not have an all-set Party and other resources like funds and power. Narendra Bhai Modi also admitted this when he said that sitting on the shoulders of a big national Party and senior leaders is one of the key factors for his electoral success. How BJP became a big party is another issue. Even if JP is far ahead of Narendra Modi and others in visionary leadership and has been working every cell and every minute of his body and time towards his goal, lack of an established platform and set track in new politics is still a hindrance for his electoral success. None could blame JP for some electoral failures in a Party which has liberal democracy as its core value.

Loksatta went to 2014 elections with a right strategy in the wrong time. But suppressing Loksatta or merging it with some other party for this failure is a very dangerous/ignorant approach. This is leaving people to their fate in the hands of traditional parties. Remember Dr.JP is still the number one visionary leader and Loksatta is still a light house of New Politics in India. Time will definitely prove that Loksatta JP is on the right side of History.

  9. Except merger and maintaining status quo, Loksatta can take any creative path for the time being to continue its political work and even if there are some selective humiliations at the early level from some people, Dr.JP should work with Narendra Modi’s government for the best benefit of the country at this crucial juncture

It took about 90 years to get freedom from 1857 revolt, it took about 12 years to demand for sampoorna swarajya from the day congress party was established in 1890's, took another 15, 25 years for satyagraha & quit india movement. Our fight is to change the politics by enlighting people but not just to win in elections. I am cofident that It may take another 10 or more years, our idioligy never be defeated. It is already became part of some traditional partis. Anybody can compare the speeches given by Narendra Modi, Chandrabau naidu, KCR(Trs party) during 2009 & 2004 elections.
