Leaders of the Sarva Jana Satta, affiliated to the Lok Satta Party, today paid tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his 105th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue at Basheerbagh.
Sarva Jana Satta President Eeda Chennayya, Vice President P. V. Rao, Treasurer P. Hanumantha Rao and others took part in a meeting held on the occasion.
The leaders recalled the role played by Babu Jagjivan Ram during the freedom struggle and his contribution to making the nation self-reliant in a number of fields including agriculture and defense.
