Lok Satta dissolves Tirupati, Chittoor committees

Lok Satta Party Working President D. V. V. S. Varma today dissolved the Tirupati town and Chittoor district committees of the party for persistent acts of indiscipline.

He named an ad hoc committee for Tirupati town with Mr. J. Venkateswarlu as convener and Mr. Siddaiah Naidu and Dr. P. Venugopal as members. An ad hoc committee for Chittoor district will be announced in a day or two.

Lok Satta Party President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan has given his clearance for the disciplinary action.

In a media statement, Mr. Varma said that top party leaders in the two units had stymied party functioning by resorting to mutual allegations. They had thwarted party headquarters’ attempts at reconciliation under some pretext or the other.
