We are the largest democratic nation, but i do not see democracy, it is still a barbaric monarchy ruled by corrupted politicians. We are not free yet, the struggle for freedom is still on......
Why do you think, we are not democracy? You are 100% free to chose whomever you want to. The person chosen by the majority is ruling us.
In monarchy the stronger ruler wins and now the richer politician wins, when people are still controlled by the purses of politicians how can we say there is democracy. Peolpe need to understand the value of their votes and not mere material money spread during the elections and then we can call ourself democratic.
Democracy means, choosing someone by majority, where they are free to chose whomever they want.If you put rules like, only those who understand something should vote, then that won't be democracy of the entire people. There are many people who do not know the value of the vote, but, still try to go and vote for good party/candidate. I don't want to lose their vote in the name of "they do not know the value of vote".All the political parties are trying hard to convince people that, they would give the best. And, many people are convinced with that. If you disagree with that, go and tell why it is bad, and ask them to vote for you. By the way, any change of the present democracy is going to destroy the entire country, unless we are too lucky.
I think you had misunderstood me, i am a strong believer of compulsory voting and a greater believer of the democracy. Kani JP sir cheppinattu vidhanalanu marchukokovali. Lekapothe democracy ane musugulo untame thappa nijamaina democratic ga thayaaravalemu.
What I was trying to say was, the people have to change and not the politicians or political parties.
