-----------------------------------------------------

  4. BJP is no where diff from Congress in the matter of corruption. Still wondering how BJP can help in handling corruption. By this pre-poll alliance move, I think LSP may loose its credibility from its own supports. Requesting to re-think on this.

    4. It is not right time to root out corruption becoz every party will have corrupt leaders either more obviuos or in disguise.
      why BJP?
BJP have very less corrupt leaders than congress.
BJP has strong leader in MODI now than ever in India.
Most importantly , in Congress , every one wants to be a millionaire . is it overwhelming ? Check the living standards of congress leaders.

  5. BJP is no different than congress ..Even it buys votes with money , liquor etc which r against LSP policies . Joining with a party which buys votes from people will effect LSP in future . I dont know the positive outcomes of this alliance but i am sure that it will have negative effect on LSP . Still cannot digest how JP took this decision . Hope he reverts back :(

  7. Dear JP sir,

I am big fan of you since Loksatta as a movement.

Please don't ally with any other party, mainly BJP. You are doing great work, we should go alone and fight election. Do not make an alliance with party like BJP. Congress party people are joining BJP and TDP and they are again same like congress. Our ideology against corruption and dynasty does not match their ideology.
Good luck and I hope you take this proposal back.

    Thank you and with regards,

    Gajendar

  8. I feel the decision to join BJP has come in wrong time. I do not see any advantage out of this alliance, as already TDP and JanaSena are in alliance with BJP.
I feel an alliance post elections, to form a government probably makes sense.
At this point of time, by declaring this alliance(without even knowing if BJP is willing to make this friendship with loksatta), loksatta is going to lose some of its supporters.

Firstly you should have already contacted BJP, made a clear strategy of what this alliance can bring you, and only after that you should have made clear announcment it to the public.
Seriously wrong timing, and wrong way to put this before public before any confirmation from BJP or before any idea of what this alliance is all about!!

Somehow I feel this is showing your immaturity!!
I am expecting clear communication from Loksatta as what this alliance is about (keeping in mind tdp and janasena are already in alliance with bjp).
I had plans to spread the loksatta word, but you forced me into standby as I cannot answer anyone asking me about this alliance.

    1. Dear friend,

Prepoll alliance is always good then post poll alliance. Voters will know in advance with whom these people join hands. Post poll alliance is like cheating their own voters (atleast in my view).

Initially, even I thought this is wrong decision. But, after thinking deeply for last couple of days, I think this is good idea for now. Imagine with this move (without compromising on core values and also without distributing money, licker etc), if we can send few good people (say 10) from loksatta to assembly, that's good for society. We can always argue why this party and why not others. I guess, BJP tried to present JP garu version in parliament and succedded in getting some benefits to AP. So, I assume this might have led JP garu & other loksatta members to inclined marginally towards BJP, thinking they can negotiate well for the benefit of country (negotiations not for any individual gains :-) ) when compared to congress. Also, in majority of the people's view (atleast for now), BJP (in center) and TDP (in state) are comparatively better options among the other traditional parties.

Please don't loose your heart by this decision and continue to support loksatta (or any other clean party). Together we can bring change.

      Regards,
      Chakravarthi

  9. Bjp is soo much better than congress, there is no family politics and no dividing policies, they like to unit india. If we see Bjp ruling states they have 24 hours power in state (MP , gujarat ), Gujarat has positive account in world bank. The bjp leader venkai naidu taken the suggestions given by lsp to divide and satisfy the both newly formed states in rs, so its better to make alliance and fought against odds. If we give any chance to wrong people to rule then it became very worse and worse day by day.

  10. it is a good decision of JPsir. Because for fighting for our goals we need to part in the government. Present BJP is better than the congress and also going to form the government. Corruption against votes should not devide. So it is better to go with alliance

  11. I support your thoughts. Definitely, alliance with any other party will benefit LSP eventually the people of AP.
    1. LSP need not to spend in all constituencies (Minimum amount prescribed by EC).
    2. Increase in seats from 1 to 4 or more will help to reach our voice to more people which will help in future.
    3. Modi is riding on a positive vote across the nation and acceptance of his PM candidature is increasing day by day. He is more or less accepted by many people as national politician belongs to every part of India.
I thought many times, BJP, LSP, TDP are good in one or the other aspects individually, by contesting together, they can definitely do good to the people of AP.
    I support this thought.

  17. JP Garu ... I support this decision .... the same amount of time and effort from different people lead to different results ... i believe most of the people who cared to come to this blog have strong determination to do some good for the community. Think about this, I believe that a person with power or access to power can do more good than a person with out it. A person with more resources is more efficient than an person with out resources. Bill Gates is one of the biggest philanthropists in the world ! Or was he a selfish entrepreneur who was obsessed on building wealth ? Both are true statements. He got the opportunity to save millions because of the Power/position/money/respect he has. Even if i worked my life time i probably will not be able to generate the same effect as Bill Gates would have brought in a day!

Same goes with JP garu. When JP garu speaks, nation listens! why? Do you think JP garu is the only person in the country who cares about the nation? With all due respect to JP garu there are many other people in the country who are committed to helping the nation and probably have spent more time than JP garu in doing so. Some of you people probably come under that category! But why is JP garu different? He has the right combination of knowledge, will power, experience, and above all he has the right kind of access to people through media. He gained the respect of all politicians in the Telugu land. He put himself in the right position so that he can get results in an efficient way. If he has to spend smaller amount of time per issue he can get to more issues and resolve as many as possible. By joining hands with these parties in power he will have access to power. He can help more people. I trust his integrity and with all the work he did over the years he deserves at least that! our trust and respect. What have JP ever done to lose that? I cant think of any thing! .... So my dear friends ... please support JP garu in his quest for justice!

    Jai Hind!

  22. Very Bad decision. I could not expect this from JP. Don't we know the corrupt politicians in BJP. People have donated hard earned money to LokSatta. It doesn't matter if Loksatta doesn't WIN. But if it looses the IDENTITY that it got after so much hard work from JP & his supporters then we lost the WAR that started for better future of next generations. Next time why would people encourage Loksatta if it either join hands with BJP, CONGRESS or TDP.

Yes i do agree being smart in politics is required but why don't we join hands with CPI, CPI(M), AAP? Why suddenly we are showing the face of FEAR of loosing. It really impacts the morale of party workers.

I don't think we are in dire need to support FASICIST MODI and be part of HOLOCAUST that he might bring if he comes to power. Please think BJP has more corrupt leaders than congress now. Karnataka Yediyurappa is back. BS Ramulu who is the right hand of Bellary reddy brothers is also back. If BJP comes to power they will bring REDDY brothers out of jail and take them part of the party.

Please dont loose IDENTITY of Loksatta by having alliance with BJP.

    1. As a communist party worker for 15+ years - I can tell this much: communist parties like CPI, CPM and AAP are the mother of corruption. when you say you want govt to do every thing - it creates corruption. When people do things themselves in an open market - you have no corruption. Congress in this nation as a socialist party has created this rogue culture that govt is a solution has destroyed the cultural blanket of this country. JP sir, this clearly explains that you have failed in people understanding the ideology of your party. While you are a economic liberalist with open market philosophy - your party cadre thinks Loksatta is close to AAP and other socialist parties. the lack of clarity is the reason for failure of loksatta.

I have been telling people about loksatta and it's objectives. But now they question about your decision of compromising on principles. Please reconsider your decision, other wise people like us have to reconsider our decision of supporting loksatta. Loksatta is the only hope for people like me. Loksatta brushed AAP as monopolistic what is it LOKSATTA doing here. Why cannot their be a opinion poll on decision to go with BJP?
If JP could do some much good work with 1 MLA seat. why should we worry about converting people favor to votes & seats. I am getting suspicious that loksatta party is now filled power hungry/greedy leader who are impatient.
There is nothing to misunderstand its clear that Loksatta too want to use bad/corrupt money of BJP to gain electoral gains.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 1. Alliance if to be made should be pre-election one as it gives voters awareness about the party's intent and hence more legitimate the alliance would be.
    2. I agree with the LSP's view to certain extent about the reasons for AAP sucess in delhi. But being a resident of Delhi( im a student from chittoor dt) i can say strongly that votes here to are clearly divided on caste( jat, yadav etc) and religion( sikhs, muslims etc ) but not strong as rural areas of AP. But the most important reason of success of AAP was to mobilise all sections based on everyday issues like POWER BILLS ( i had to pay 4500/- bill with faulty meters ) and aggressive campaigning THROUGH OUT delhi. AAP also used IAC movement ( its ethical nature can be debated ). so though lacking higher income and urban nature are few reasons for LSP not winning but it is more due to lack of aggressive people mobilisation across rural and urban areas. Educate, Agitate, Organise should be done effectively.
    3. the point that its also the responsibility of one political party to change other party's behaviour and we should aid political party which intends to take up ethical politics. BJP's campaign based on Devpt, leaving the past baggage of religious chauvinism, though of dubious nature , is commendable . And supporting BJP at this moment is the only way, i believe, for making such parties permanently adhere to development agenda rather than take to polarising politics. If parties trying to change are not supported by people then they might revert to their religious politics again. So its good that LSP allies.
    4. Claim that most of the laws and achievements were solely because of LSP is a narrow political propaganda. Other parties and social movements too have a stake.
    5. Most of the goals of LSP seem to match with TDP: decentralisation, development, inclusiveness, reasonable freebies etc. so i guess it would be wise to have alliance with TDP in AP and BJP at center. Also given the chances of success for TDP, LSP will have better chances to promote the Reform agenda.
